Rating: 5Summary: "The Little Ebook Reader That Could"
Yahoo - I have been waiting for an eBook reader with excellent readability and ergonomics for $ 150, and here it is: the Ectaco JetBook Lite.
No, not the JBL wireless communications, and no, it does not play mp3s. I have a small device called an mp3 player that does exactly that!
What does the JBL Serve supports a variety of ebook formats, including mobile format of the New York Public Library, together with eReader DRM FictionBook, plain text, PDF, EPUB, and others.
The JBL not e-Ink technology. Instead, sport a very readable LCD screen with the added advantage over E-Ink screens of fast Turn the page: as fast as possible to apply a sheet of paper, in fact.
The JBL-screen provides high-contrast black text on white background, similar to the Nook unity and better than the Kindle, from the photos I've ever seen.
I read "The Mysterious Island" on the JBL for several hours without eye fatigue. Although light in my dark apartment on the first floor is not the best, take it nice on the background.
There are no fewer than three page-turning controls, one on the left side of the device, another on the front below the screen - plus you can print pages with your right hand again, using the arrow keys on the bottom right corner.
The JBL sports several built dictionaries, makes it easy to look up words in English or translate them from other languages. The device also comes with a number of classics on board, including Shakespeare, Dickens, Joyce, the Bible, and much more.
You can also plug an SD card, the expansion of space to hold an enormous number of ebooks - enough for even the longest holiday abroad or the longest journey!
The JBL also "plays well" with Windows XP. My computer immediately recognized it (well) after a pause for the obligatory reboot, and it is easy to copy files to my computer.
I had created a little trouble finding Mobi some books which I copied to the Mobipocket Reader on my computer, I found her with the unity file manager routine in a second folder, it was for the purpose. I later used the workplace to these files in the original book of the unit folder that the resumption of reading much faster and easier when the device-making move.
The JBL is rated to run for more than 20 hours on four AA batteries. I have is with high-performance NiMH rechargeable batteries and the power meter reading, still in full after several hours of reading. This certainly had better, the Franklin eBookMan, I have - and the JBL does not lose his memory when you change the batteries!
You can not see in the photos, but the device has a bulge to accommodate the back of the left hand side to the battery chamber. That actually makes the reader comfortable in your left hand to hold, and it serves as a handy stand, if you switch to landscape mode while you eat on the table.
Finally JBL fits nicely into my back jeans pocket.
What can I say? If you do not care about wireless capabilities ... If you already have an MP3 player ... and if you have better things to do with your money than to spend more than two hundred shells on an eBook Reader ... Check out the ECTACO JetBook Lite.
It is important and shows an entire library of ebooks with first-class readability and ergonomics, and that's where it really counts!
UPDATE: I made the mistake of selling to protect the arrangement of the silicon sleeve Ectaco to "the JBL. It does not fit very well, which does not protect the screen, and delivered at 34 U.S. dollars, it offers poor value for money.
It also feels quite slippery, it needs texturing to improve your grip. In short, I am afraid it will make me fall JBL when turning a page, eliminating its usefulness protection unit. I do not recommend it and encourage you to seek a protective sleeve / pouch from a third party (other breeders Ectaco pockets were more expensive) at $ 50 and $ 100 and not including shipping.
I would do it again, unless that Ectaco costs by 6% and less an administrative fee not refunded the exorbitant $ 14 shipping charge. Ugh!
FIX NUMBER TWO: When I bought the JBL in December, it was) still have problems with DRM books (pdb tracks, such as Barnes & Noble. You can not select, size, text was missing, as you went from page to page, and it took a long time to open a book.
I am pleased to report that seems to have solved the latest firmware upgrade for all these problems. The only remaining question seems to be a problem opening DRM reference titles such as Webster's dictionary, it takes a full ten minutes to open this sucker - not practical for a rapid check word.
Regular DRM pounds seems to work well, but. And these problems have been fixed without users having to send back their unit for refurbishing achieved, as users of the Sony Reader was based on recently. (If your JBL is with DRM issues, see the general forum on Ectaco.com and follow the links and instructions for updating to the latest firmware, the process works without a hitch, and I am not a clairvoyant, I confess.)
Thus, the JBL handles with aplomb the latest bestseller by B & N and all free mobi titles, see Guttenberg, the New York Public Library, and other sources.
In short, everything you can an eBook reader is a disaster, $ $ $ less than other units. Highly recommended.

Rating: 3Summary: A fair device
I bought it from Fictionwise, as she had the $ 50 discount on micropay, so I basically end up paying $ 99.99 for them. At the time I thought it was much as I would be able to $ 50 worth of ebooks received from the business.
So again I went and did get my 50 ⬠worth of ebooks while waiting for the device, and after getting it, load it with the ebooks I have, and then read off, I discovered the problem. One line of text missing on each single page of the DRM-protected eBooks? I tried it again. Pdb ebook, one that was not protected, and again on every page there is a missing line of text.
The only files I found that no text is missing, is from so far are EPUB files.
The main reason why I purchased the reader, because it's DRM-protected files ereader handles, but with the missing text, it basically makes the device for usless ereader ebooks. The ebooks that are read-only now are public domain, or the multi-format epub Fictionwise ebooks as you can download them in DRM-free epub.
My advice, wait until an update is received for this before buying, if you really want ereader for DRM-protected files.

Rating: 4Summary: A great second reader!
I bought one for my wife a gift for a birthday, and I find it a great backup to my primary e-Book Reader the Aztak EZReader Pro 5, "the reader of the most versatile in its size / price range is.

Rating: 4Summary: AA batteries good -- no backlight bad.
Previous reviews cover the details of this eBook reader quite well, so I will only comment on two points:
Con: The LCD display is very good, both in size and readability, but the one characteristic I think the eBook reader really needs is a backlight.
Advantages: This is one of the few current readers with standard AA batteries. They add bulk, but the slim reader, I was before this crippled replace a defective battery, which was not practicable. The new generation of "pre-charged" (low self-discharge) NiMH batteries are a very economical choice for this device.

FIX number two: Though Ectaco claimed that the PDB supports DRM JBL pounds, there were problems - mainly slow songs opening times, no choice of font size and lack of text when you switch sides. I just downloaded their latest firmware update (January 5, 2010), and I regret to say that the missing text remains a problem. So if DRM books are important to you, you should give the JBL.
I've got a star for the DRM affects performance, and deducted the expensive accessories. I hope Ectacto will correct these deficiencies, sooner rather than later, and they could have a real candidate for travelers on a budget. In the meantime, it is frustrating that we seem to serve as beta testers owners ...

Rating: 5Summary: Amazing value, tons of formats, nice toy!
I bought this at a special price of $ 100 (that's over now), and was able to load it and be in a few minutes reading. My wife, who is not comfortable with electronic devices, free it from me just so I bought a Aluratek LIBRE (same manufacturer) for a little more, but comes with the external memory card and a few other benefits. This reader is to use a joy, and with the LCD display quickly turns to the page.
I had problems with Microsoft. Lit files found, but a big open-source program called
Calibre to convert the file.
The only drawback is a slow boot / start time.

Rating: 4Summary: could be better
I just changed my jbl ........... two days ago ........ Kind of disappointed in the unit ........
I installed an 8 GB SD card ............ I've downloaded several books in the card ......
when I click on a book that is to say, get to the SD card, some of them a look that big file
So i cannot see ...... Which is to say it has 30 MB file and I can read in order to large file ....
I just wonder how big the file is the jbl ....... I read think I have to contact
Manufacturing ................ As noted by others to read txt file just fine ....... i havnt tried all
the type of files it is probably more than the reading ............ and forget the pictures ... ka-ka
some are washed out ... most of you have on the screen tilt just right to see them ... not good ......
much the picture i look at the black and white to begin with ....... so there is no color question .....
I like the device but still .. so its a keeper ...... ill probably use, especially for text and information ...
Book download is probably a hit and miss issue ...... 30mb if i cannot read a book on the 8GB card is not good ...

Rating: 2Summary: Don't waste your money
This product was probably to be compatible epub format. Our local library used epub but it was not compatible with this product. It is assumed to be compatible with Barnes and Noble DRM. I was able to download samples of books without any problems. Whan I bought a book, an error message it could not be the book. He wanted an unlock code. I called Barnes and Noble for their support. She informed me that this product is compatible, but the activation code is my credit caed number. I tried my credit card number. The JetBook Lite does not let me the book. After I talked to him for an afternoon, I decided to return me to her. I have bought other electronic devices in the past many times without frustration.

Rating: 5Summary: Ectaco jetBook Lite
I researched several ebook readers against the decision to jetbook lite. Overall, I could not be happier. The price is reasonable, and it is very easy to learn your way around the navigation menus. It can display many different file types, although I prefer epub than most. I bought it about two months ago and have already read several books about them.
I decided to also purchase one for my mother who is not very technically oriented, but she has no problem with her around. The font size can be set (which they really like), and my favorite feature is the latest readings list .. (I tend to jump from book to book), so it keeps my place.
If you are an eBook reader, can play music, browse the Web looking for .. etc.. then this is not for you. But if you're like me, and just want to add something to your collection pound, which is the perfect product.
It does not come with a cover, but I made one for us, which works perfectly and keeps the screen protected. Newer models may have the latest firmware, but it never hurts to check for updates (I had the latest one after I've had to install, and PDF files much better).
Another thing I noticed, it is better to use automatic shut-off to "never" during the transfer books to the reader, or switch off the reader, and you have to start all over again. If the process is complete, I'll just reset my back fence min to 3. (Saves batteries).

Rating: 3Summary: Elegant, simple reader with a lot of useful features
First off, I like this reader. Its got a slightly retro feel, the buttons are intuitive, but unique. It seems like they invented their own control not try to copy all the other devices. This is a good thing, but it's fun. Many users may not notice.
some advantages and disadvantages:
PROS:
You do not need a computer uses only AA batteries, charger-goodbye! transfer (to new books, you connect it to your computer or use the SD memory card)
Screen looks good. PDF files, such as maths paper look good.
Supports a variety of open formats, such as (they say I have not tried looking at pictures yet)
Very simple interface to the computer! my computer immediately recognized as an external flash memory - is the way it should be.
Containing batteries included, but also a selection of ebooks are already loaded, which is a nice gesture. Note that there is no SD card included.
Now to the drawbacks that were enough to bring it out of five stars in my head, three stars. There is no middle ground!
CONS:
It needs to all PDF files! This is just annoying enough, since some PDF files from the FSI language program as well as white noise (look on the screen even if the first page looked nice from ...). A PDF should be a pdf should be a pdf.
A serif font or two would also be nice. The included fonts have I think Arial and Verdana, which might be in order for you.

Rating: 3Summary: fair enough for the money--when on sale
I was pretty happy with this, so 3 stars. The disadvantages are: It is very slow. Click and expect a quick response not simply be the case. You need to, dass at first and when I clicked no answer, I clicked again, and by the time I had crossed to the device, which was caught looking.
I'm enjoying my Asus Netbook for the bed and read, like a light is not necessary, and I do not disturb my wife. There is no way this JetBook in bed without reading a light source, didturbs sleep then the other person. and the reflections on the screen from the light source is hard to ignore.
dictionary is a very poor man, and again very slowly in order to access a word. If the word to come up to me, the specifications are inadequate, and sometimes not.
the alpha-numerics on the site are in both English and Russian, Russian .. Why? Languages supported me bizarre, Russian, Polish? I can understand Spanish, German ... but why not French, itaian ... rather than Polish or Russian.
There is every possibility of the screen is damaged. it has no protection against scratches or even worse, if supported in a handbag, bag, etc. My wife is a case for me to sew.
, the weight is there when the batteries no batteries, it would be to meet their standards, not on when you read in bed to show it is mediocre, with one hand to control the access, ie reading with the device in the one hand, while slipping with the same hand with the thumb to click control is awkward, and I can see how the device could be out of the hands, if possible, make that ... Screen will be damaged.
by placing the product on a table in the screen could also cause damage is when the screen flat on the table, it always takes him with the spirit of setting the screen to the top ... minimized but not eliminated damage issues.
I'm not happy with everything he screen tones, the property with a gray background to me makes it more difficult reading, I want more contrast with a light background perfer. when they say it's like wallpapaer, they have "a very old book with paper-aging.
and, finally, there is no way to brigtness control, in the twilight, it is very difficult to read. Once more, you need another source. with my laptop, or netbook, this is not a problem, as the brightness can be controlled. I also like the backlight of the screen from the netbook .. better contrast. I think the reading of the netbook does not cause my eyes are tired, but on this ECTACO JetBook the eyes do not get tired. more so, with a room that is dim. I also found it difficult to read in direct sunlight, if not impossible, without the screen to a little shade ... which is not always possible to say at the beach.
I like the replaceable battery is the size is good, the weight ok-ish, it seems well made and on sale it is a fair deal ... but only under a one hundred-fifty, more than that, and I would not buy.
Addendum: This is the Lite version does a better version, and I saw it for sale elsewhere for a wholly twenty! this is way way overpriced. I should have googled.

Rating: 1Summary: Files not downloadable
I had a pocket Sony reader, that my daughter kept borrowing, so I thought I would give to have the readers Ectaco sparingly as a second ereader around the house. All features are advertised on the Ectaco true. However, if you can not have the necessary files to the reader, the device is completely useless. First we have the equipment we were able to download files to it. Somehow along the way, my files was damaged and I could not on it for something, yet I could not download new files on them. In our frustration, we blew a few expletives, and resisted the temptation to throw the device through the room. Needless to say, my daughter and I are back again with the allocation of pocket Sony Reader. I am very happy with the Sony device, and for some additional cost for them, the price is worth it. You will actually be able to download your files and read everything comfortably. I take my bag everywhere Sony Reader. Ectaco the device is now resting in a box along with all my other outdated, useless, cheap electronics and disturbed in my cupboard.

Rating: 3Summary: Good E-reader... disposable though
I have had for almost 3 months. It's a nice little e-reader. The problem is that they do not the last. Tonight I finished reading and the book and locked up. It is not an isolated problem. I read the forums and seems like everyone that they bought around the same time, I mean is that purchased this problem now. So it's a nice brick. I am sure to replace fix it / But who will take the trouble to go there .. and who knows if it takes a new or established, more than 3 months. Spend up a little more and a better brand.

Rating: 4Summary: Good litte e-reader for someone on a strict budget.
I've had my Jetbook Lite for about a week now and have already fallen in love with it. So far I've taken it with me to the doctor's office waiting room and yes reading on the toilet. And, I do think you will read more with this portable device (can fit in your loose pocket). The one I purchased came pre-loaded with books that I was already reading (Time Machine, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer) on my laptop using mobipocket reading software. It is better reading on this device than a laptop because it is very light weight (under 1 lbs) and the screen has no backlight (also it has a high resolution) which eliminates some of the eye fatigue when reading for long periods. I purchased a 4GB SD memory card for extra storage; it cost me only $8.99 on amazon. 4GB, is huge for storing all your books and periodicals (manufacturer says device can support up to 32GB memory cards). The device supports a lot of book formats including being able to read DRM books from the Barnes and Noble book store. PDFs are difficult to display on the 5 inch screen you can rotate the screen to landscape mode and that helps to keep from having to scroll when trying to view PDF documents. This device unlike the Sony pocket reader has a built-in dictionary to look up words you don't understand, you just select the word and it will pull it up and give you a definition. It also comes pre-loaded with foreign language dictionaries in Russian, German, Polish, and Spanish. You can also read foreign language books, which is cool if you are studying a foreign language and want to practice reading the language. If you are looking for an inexpensive e-reader, I recommend giving it a try; no it doesn't come with 3G like the Kindle, so if being able to download anywhere the latest books from your favorite authors is important to you, pass on this one and check out the Amazon Kindle, the Sony Daily Edition, or the Barnes and Noble Nook (these have 3G internet access, but cost more).

Rating: 3Summary: Good, But Has Flaws
First off, I like this reader. I really do! The defects, which I discovered are the following:
1st The PDF files are very difficult to show. It shuts down the device does not display correctly or contain 99% of the time waaay too small text, no matter how much you resize. That was a big mistake for me because of the fact that I have hundreds of pdf files I wanted to this ad.
2nd When reading off just consistently over long periods of the device. What saves opens the moment you turn it on again to them, where you stopped.
* I found that the best files are on my application. Txt and. Epub formats.
PRO:
1st Love the built-in dictionary.
2nd Very clearly shown.
3rd Compact, but solid.
4th Easy to use.
5th Expandable with SD Card
6th Support for multiple languages.

Rating: 3Summary: Gotta say, I'm disappointed
The JetBook Lite ereader good performance for the first two battery changes, with the third set of batteries, they refused to intervene. I finally got it going (a few hours later) by hooking it to my desktop and I'm not sure how we got from there 'to', but now it will not open more than one. EPUB pounds (the biggest offenders) and remain only 'on' (which it must be applied to books from the desktop computer) for minutes at a time. Then it cycles off and you have to restart it in order (all titles, regardless of whether a finesse) turn on or off. I ended up buying a card reader in another place, only to save my sanity. (Oh, yes, it takes an SD card.)
The "dictionary" seems to be tied to shape, as well. Sometimes there is one, sometimes there is not.
With many formats the book you can only change sides with the left hand, there are no page turning page buttons on the right side. Except sometimes.
There are no User's Manual on-line. The Quick Start booklet, you will not be anywhere near the troubleshooting or responses. And it's either translated from another language or in English was by far not the first language of the author, so it is difficult to find out exactly what they are trying, with what are some ways it might mean.
It's just not very intuitive with this device. Trial and error can be a long time to find out things.
The automatic page turn, is a part, but a real page turning, allowing you to select your preferred frequency, in seconds, and either wait dally when it crawled a short side, or to find out whether it is densely written.
There is no way to wrap or buy protection for this device. Traveling with him, and she slips into a bag or pocket (or, EEK in a suitcase), seems to ask for a broken screen or jammed machine.) If I bought me a neoprene sleeve for a Netbook to protect mine.
All this said, so long as one stays away from EPUB documents (well, they are the worst offenders so far, anyway) and do not find the above too much pain to the JetBook Lite is really a beautiful machine. It takes a while, as I have said, is to find out, but the writing is clear and concise (though again the possibility of change, fonts, according to the book format seems to be), it is for the price, a clever little device.
If you are looking for rock-solid lightness and stupid simple user controls, you may want to pay more and buy something else. However, you can pay much more for the "something else", and I hear that they are "elses" also problems with different formats.

Rating: 5Summary: Great E-reader!!!
I bought in February and I love it! I have a free program to convert all my ebooks epub to (the format I prefer for the JBL) and placed them on an SD card, then put the card into the reader, and there they are! I love that it takes four AA batteries instead of charging via AC. The screen is the perfect size for reading. Great to read indoors or out. I only wish Amazon had it running, I paid more for mine!

Rating: 4Summary: JetBook good Reader for the price
I bought this as a backup to my Sony Reader and Pocket serves this purpose. The good thing about this reader is the AA battery, no matter where you are, you do not need to care out of power.

Rating: 5Summary: JetBook Lite
Great product for the money. I've reset a few questions, however, had with technical support I have updated the firmware and all is well. I do not know how to read PDF's on this unit, as they preview too small. It supports EPUB and TXT files, great. I love that I can use my own batteries and not rely on an internal battery. I would and have recommended this reader.

Rating: 5Summary: Must do update but great reader at great price
This will not read DRM pounds if you install the upgrade, but their technical support is very helpful. To resolve the issue of the missing line in a previous review, I turned the screen with the screen rotation button called. This worked well and to my surprise, when I rotate the screen again, the problem was solved.
After setup is very comfortable and easy to use. It reads a wide variety of formats

Rating: 3Summary: Nice but not what I expected
Pros:
1) I like it, but I'm not so enthusiastic.
2) You can rechargeable batteries
3) Rear battery gives you more grip.
4) Does SD card reader, you can save much more.
5) You can Horizontal mode switch, others for the view.
Cons:
1) There is no backlight, (It's like an LCD or LCD watch). Useless without some light.
2) The font is very small, only enough to read a page. Otherwise, you will read about three sentences per page.
3) When the battery starts to go, it can loose one side (not to be found until you put in new batteries) and it can remember your bookmarks.
4) If you scroll down, you can read the next page from the top if you get to the bottom of the page, then you have to guess where on.
For under a hundred to be OK.

Rating: 5Summary: Rejoice. The Reflective LCD is here.
ECTACO JetBook.
I want to say that the JetBook Lite is a very large device. As great as it may seem, it has a fatal error. It's just that the DRM-protected content is determined by Barnes & Noble. So if you have many DRM-protected content, then I suggest you look elsewhere.
Well, here is my praise of JetBook Lite.
It's cheap. very cheap. to beat at $ 150, the 5 'eBook Reader has great features, no other competitors.
First, it is reflective LCD screen.
Reflective LCD allows a fast turn over / change image immediately. No "Flash" page turns like almost all e-ink competitors. Yes, I'm talking to you, Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader, iRiver, and most of you 'cheap alternative' eBook readers.
JetBook / LITE pages turning quickly and smoothly.
Second, the batteries.
JetBook LITE (JBL) comes with 4 AA batteries instead of the built-in rechargeable batteries you anywhere for 24 hours of continuous reading (10,000 pages). Now this feature is the deciding factor between JetBook and JetBook Lite.
Good thing about these AA batteries is that at the end of the battery cycle, would you turn on your eBook and pay a ridiculous amount of money to have replaced your battery for you. LITE, but it is easy to replace and replace it cheaply. Another good starting point is JetBook Lite, that because the placement of the battery on the left side of the book is, it fits so comfortably on your left hand. I have never felt comfortable and safe operation of an eBook reader. I never had to worry about dropping the device has an accident. it fits into your hand GREAT.
The bad point about AA batteries is that it adds bulkiness to the device. You're gonna have hard (er) time to find a protective cover on the baby.
The device has three types of turning pages. on the left side there is a sliding mechanism that the pages to be rotated with minimal effort. very practical. and two buttons below the left a great position to turn the page. You can also find pages with the left and right arrow on the bottom right corner.
Once again, I would like to mention that page NOW! Without "FLASH".
Two fonts are available immediately, Arial and Verdana.
6 font sizes, 12 to 32
You can use the number of tabs on the right side to search the book for easy access to all content.
Books can be organized by folders. (yay)
Built in the dictionary is a great feature.
Multiple language support is great, English, other languages is very cool dictionary.
128MB internal memory, but it has SD card expansion slot.
ECTACO JetBook Lite is a great device. I would recommend this before any other devices that are "in" right now.

Rating: 5Summary: Sweet!
I love this e-book reader!
Pros:
- Very good read, even in low light environment
- You can read just about everything (ePub, Mobi, PRC, RTF,. Txt,. Pdf,. FB2. Jpg,. Gif,. Png and. Bmp) without a certain format (I have yet to convert have not tried the proprietary DRM formats)
- No black screen if you pages as E-Ink-based reader again
- Long life battery
- Uses standard AA batteries (battery, you can use)
- Expandable with SD cards
- Did I say affordable? For someone who wants to try to a reader for the first time, this is a very nice start.
- Solid construction
Cons:
- None so far
Notes:
- Auto-scrolling would be nice.
It has a setting to automatically pages, but it's pretty hard to get the timing right, and, depending on the format of the book, takes a few pages to read more, then others and you always end up turning on one side while you are in the middle of reading. Scrolling would be nice. Better yet with adjustable on the fly by scrolling the cursor.
- Better handling of the PDF would be nice.
Right now you can zoom in and that's nice. Then you can scroll around using the cursor keys and even turn the pages, turn the page with the slider to the pages. It would be nice if the settings of the zoom rate that you can use just one button (or the slider) to move down the page and when the end is reached, would the same control to the beginning of the next page instead switch to use another button to turn the tide.
Overall I am very happy with my new toy!

Rating: 4Summary: When Simple Is Right
It says a lot about Amazon's marketing spirit that they carry alternative ebook readers, and let's face it, no single reader is going to satisfy everyone. I've owned the Jetbook Lite for about a week, and I'm extremely pleased and impressed with it. No wireless, no eInk, just a simple and reliable ebook reader. I like it for its ability to manage ePub books (rendered via Calibre) and it's excellent TFT lcd screen. Page turning is quick, pages are easy to view in indirect light. I don't own a Kindle, but I do own a Nook, and I much prefer the readability of the Jetbook to the Nook. Easy to transfer txt, epub, ereader, mobi, prc, html and txt files via SD card or USB (called "side loading"). Buy secure ereader books from B&N, Fictionwise, eReader, and you can view them on the Jetbook. Software v15 means you only have to enter your CC info once, and all the books bought with that CC are available on your reader. Battery life is great; I plan to get a set of rechargeables if the first set of alkalines every wear out. Read the recommendation about lithium and I'll give that a shot. PDFs read pretty well, easy to zoom in. A great first reader for those who really don't need/want to buy/download wirelessly. Current street price is as low as $119 with free shipping, so it's really a no-brainer. Comes with a ton of pub domain ebooks and the dictionary function is great too. It will "trim" white edges on PDF files or display as full page, your call. If I were buying eReaders for friends or family I would NOT apologize for this. Exceptional value for the money, probably ushering in the soon-to-be new age of less than $100 eReaders.
