Summary: A Great Cover
Most Read all reviews before ordering this cover. Now that I do for several weeks that I'm glad that I used to choose them. From 1 Day, I folded the coverage all the way back, so I am on a table or with one hand resting on my lap at the bottom of the chest or read in bed. The cover feels like quality, fits perfectly and provides good protection for the DX.

Summary: A Must Have Cover
My new Leather cover was an exchange of my original cover, which I bought when I bought my Kindle DX. The new cover seems to be so much easier to connect to the Kindle and put the two points are easier to use during the placement.
The cover is a great protector of the Kindle and a pleasure to have when you travel. I would recommend the cover of a Kindle owner.

Summary: Absolutely awful and will damage your Kindle DX
DO NOT BUY THIS. While it locks in securely, when I tried to take my Kindle DX came out of cover, canceled the hook and stick to my Kindle. He bent and the plastic on the edge of the DX a bit. I had my replacement Kindle DX because it was impossible to drive one of the fractured hook from the top slot. A complete failure of a product. Yeah, the original Kindle was a lame cover - but at least it does not damage the device.

Summary: Almost perfect
This coverage is the Kindle looks and feels almost like a "normal" book. The only problem is that it is either in the middle of a hinge or a clip on the right side to keep open the cover to the rear, as they will be keen will set both the Kindle and its owner, and perhaps even actually break the Kindle. If you do this, which I recommend only that one point to be careful.

Summary: Amazon Kindle DX Leather Cover
This is a good protector for the Kindle DX and fits very well. The binding snaps seem to fit well and are relatively easy to get in and out. It is made from a stable product, the Kindle gives good protection. The only drawback for me is that they added weight helps to find DX Kindle, which I then too heavy to hold comfortably for long periods of reading. Lately, I have to remove the cover when I will read for 10 minutes or more, and then install the cover, cleaned up around the Kindle.

Summary: An improvement, but more needed.
I am a long time, Kindle user and this cover is much better than the one that was included with the first generation Kindle. However, it needs some velcro on the inside of the back wall to prevent it from flopping around. I also found it a bit heavy and thick for reading in bed at night, and got into the habit of always taking off before reading. As a result, I bought a Timbuk2 sleeve nylon Kindle and like it much better. I have this cover to have one of my daughters and she looks forward to your Kindle.

Summary: Bad reviews are right....Cover Breaks Kindle!
I ignored the bad reviews, because I do not see many other options for the larger Kindle DX.
However, within a week, it was gushing out of my Kindle and it was getting worse. Luckily, when I removed the lid, went to the "bubbling", and there is no obvious damage to the track. Needless to say, I returned by mail the ceiling. All proposals for better coverage?

Amazon says:

The cover looks and feels good. It has a metal brace in the spine, with tabs that hook into the Kindle hold it in place. I had to cancel one of the tabs. Amazon replaced the cover, but be careful not to have your Kindle from falling. I think, at the corner pockets for the Kindle may be more reliable and secure. The only stop in the registers, the Kindle kept slipping out but it is not flat on the tailgate of the lid. Nothing to prevent the Kindle from tipping over to the left (like a page turning), and the places strain on the tabs and the slots on the side of the Kindle.

We were on a plane, when my wife overheard a conversation and spied an e-book reader - a Kindle. She always brings a number of books away on our travels - loves to read. "Would something like," I asked? "Yes," came the reply, "maybe for Christmas." I was excited, she wants very little - large to be something they want to find. I studied in the work, e-book reader. I have a Sony e-book, which has already taken a trip back to the factory under warranty and is taking over another. While there are many positive attributes, it has disappointed on the reliability and durability.

I researched several e-books - available in time for Christmas was a critical variable. Both the standard and the DX Kindle could be supplied by the holiday. Summary: Cover Is A Good Add-On
This cover is great to protect the Kindle and easy access to the device.
Perhaps not as attractive as some of the more expensive leather upholstery but aesthetically satisfying.
So that you can use a clip on light cheaper than the Kindle book. You create the front cover after you have folded it all the way back. The only drawback is that you do not open make sure you need the back cover as it will crack Your Kindle's prongs, where value to the device. Also would have been nice if they are closed on a bracket attached to the cover. I just use a rubber band on the few occasions when I attach it to closed, as needed during the trip.

Summary: Danger! Warning!
My first review of anything, but potential buyers should be told in advance that this is likely to cover damage to your Kindle. I bought it, it installs properly cracked on the Kindle, then as a design error in the upper hinge case, six weeks later, on my Kindle saw. The only good thing was that Amazon quickly replaced my Kindle and gave me a credit on the cover. It was only then that I needed time to describe all existing ratings for this article, which is exactly what has happened to me to read. DO NOT buy to cover them. The delusion is thinking that your Kindle is something like a side between the front and back covers of this article. It is not. The Kindle is firmly on the back cover, which is impossible, or are you creating a tie in the top hinge. Why Amazon is still selling this blanket over me, but please read all the other critical reviews that describe this problem well. I replaced the cover with the M-edge platform and love it. I find that I actually much prefer the flip-back before the M-cover in the air here Edged. But this review is not to buy that coverage, is to not buy on one.

Summary: Design Flaw in Leather Amazon Kindle Cover
Love the Kindle, but if you are in the Amazon Leather cover, it's just a matter of time before you on the side of the cover do not notice the front is, and try to open them in the wrong direction. This results in your pulling the back of the lid from the Kindle itself, and makes a lot of pressure on the hinge mechanism. Results: bent hinge and cracks in the white plastic cover on the framework of the Kindle may be the screen itself, if you pull really hard. Sounds like Amazon is going to work to make good for this error, even though we much for themselves. The Kindle itself is awesome, we have bought with other international wireless, are perfect downloaded in the desert cities of Rajasthan.

This locks the Kindle too well. If the back of more than a few inches it is not easy deattach (the would have been irritating, but open only a little) will bend, but will raise far more difficult to remove and crack the face of the Kindle, if you try to close it altogether. I just global Besides the Kindle for Christmas. My wife has the same size in the local Kindle also has bought it and the cover attached to them outside strap, right hand (for right handed people) or at the corner of the "open" side of the Kindle.

I applied for the coverage here, and it has nothing to back up the outside of the Kindle to make it work and flops around when you read it. Get the older version (with external sources), and save your hinges, and perhaps the Kindle even if / when the hinges break through open wear.

Like many of the criticisms that the leather cover for the Kindle DX cracked the plastic frame. Glad I bought this cover. Was undecided because there are so many covers available - what should you choose?

I went to cover with the Amazon Kindle. At first I thought I would just buy them to start and then upgrade to another, but now, why make the effort? It works very well, looks good and protects the Kindle.

The product snapshots around the Kindle - a bit careful mounting of the Kindle and it works and looks good.

An absolute MUST HAVE for any Australian or Kindle users.

Service Experience:
The first version I bought (mid-February 2010) arrived and the front cover was bent. Very strange. So after a flood of e-mails, I found the best way to Amazon from Australia to contact.

1. Click http://www.amazon.com/kindlesupport
2. On the right side look for the box "Use Express customer service or contact us via e-mail or phone" - click on CONTACT
3. There is a phone option. Simply enter your Australian number and within seconds you can find Amazon's free (note call, they can not call all mobile numbers - must be a landline)

Amazon promptly sent me a replacement, and charged me for this. However, sending things back to Amazon from Australia is not easy!

(Mid-March 2010), yet no clear instructions for the return or restitution.

Summary: Front cover deformed on two examples
My DX cover was deformed, with a large hump on the right side and one on the bottom, so it will not lie flat. Amazon replaced it quickly, but the second cover was also deformed. It was not nearly as bad as the first, but it is still noticeably wrinkled, and it looks silly. The photos on the Amazon site to show that it should lie flat. I think for a cover of this expensive, that better quality control and design are needed.

This cover looks good. Kinda simple, but does the job. It's a bit easier to add, but that does not bother me, because I think there must be a substance in order to provide protection. My problem is the top-bar caused a large crack in my ignition. When you open it by mistake in the wrong direction, turn it to the upper lock and ignited, causing damage to the actual. I did not know it, or I'd be more careful. And it is not so, it was always torn roughly. Only partially open from the back. Amazon was great and not only replaced the cover, but also on fire. Received both a DX Amazon Kindle and a cover for Christmas. I knew the Kindle comes as a gift, but not on the cover (which was a surprise). I had done my research and already placed my order for a made by BoxWave.

My favorite cover had to look good, feel good, offering good protection at the corners to provide good protection for my DX-screen are a good secure leather tab snap, who have an inside flap to keep note paper, and a fasten my seat Secure Force alarm (connected to him when I began more than twenty meters away from my Kindle the alarm beeping in my pocket - I tend to lose things). The Kindle coverage meets some of these criteria, but not all.

So .. Elsewhere on the Internet I found a coverage called Sienna Elite Leather Case ($ 34.95). It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. The natural leather looks really nice, the cover meets all my criteria for durability and protection, it has the snap tab, there is a place for stationery, and there is a place to lay my horror day. I should also note that the Kindle is securely held by the cover and can not slip when I want it.

Of all the covers I researched, my first choice was the Sienna cover .. Secondly, to cover the Amazon Kindle. The cover looks like Sienna something to take me to a conference, covering the Amazon Kindle looks like something I would be proud to be on my desk. Cover is a real advantage for the Amazon is that it may easily be mistaken for a department (less likely) will be removed without permission. Both covers are excellent in their kind.

By the way, I love my Kindle DX.

Summary: Good for travel no substitute for a book for me
I think it's wonderful Kindle for the trip. Easy to read and I love the two instant purchase, and the fact that it opened exactly to the page you will have stopped. However I found it a bit difficult to figure out all the functions. You still have not figured out how to delete items patterned, make notes or to the dictionary to work properly. Also, I really miss it to the thumb on the sides and only the experience of a real book. So for me it is fantastic, like a trip accessary not replace it pound for the whole of me.

Summary: Good Kindle DX cover, just be careful opening it
I find that the case for the Amazon Kindle DX sells is a good accessory for the reader. The Kindle slips easily into the trap and is secured by two hooks. The external pebble leather make it easy to keep the Kindle, without slipping, and on the inside of the bus stops and the back of the device from scratches or markings. I like how the case opens strong, makes it easy to either open or with the book to read before the fall rolled around the back.

The concern I have with the thing is that the upper hinge can cause damage to your Kindle, if you're not careful. As noted in several reviews (which I read here), you must be careful not wrong on the Kindle, what you can to break open the device. I also found that one of the cases that we had bought a light top hinge could cause the bulge to the top plastic cover - I have of cases where customers have cracked the screen as a continuation bend you. The hinge can be straightened, be to avoid this problem, but an RMA request with Amazon can net you are a unit in good condition.

All in all a good accessory, as long as you use it and appropriate that the hinges are positioned correctly. If you make one, the top hinge to your Kindle Bezel bulge, Amazon to ask for a replacement product of causes.

This is almost a perfect cover for the Kindle DX.

I thought to ignite in a book. Open the lid and read.

Pros:
- I love the way it securely to the spark of the spine, instead of the elastic or tabs or whatever.
- The cover folds out of the way when reading.
- The interior of the cover is soft and be padded to protect the display.
- It has built-in magnets at strategic locations to keep the lid closed.

Cons:
- It's expensive
- Sometimes, when to ignite the operation on the head, you can try to open the wrong page.

Summary: If it had a clasp it would be perfect.
This cover works great. It looks good. The cover has magnets that hold just the right thickness, closed during the processing of your catch fire, but do not require as much as two hands to it must be opened. The only thing I would add that protection is a bond that would serve two functions.

I called the customer service contact, the rep told me to open the lid and it's serial number on the back. I had no idea, I opened it and gave him the number. It actually cracked under my Kindle! Summary: Kindle DX Leather cover cracks the Kindle cover
I have two leather DX had for my Kindle. The first match had curved hook on the section in the edge of the Kindle. I did not know they were bent, because the way that came from the factory, and I thought it was normal.

The first cracks cover the plastic tip of the Kindle directly on the upper hook. Finally, they broke through completely and took a full .5 "wide section of the Kindle.

Amozon was very helpful and replaced both the Kindle and the cover, as they were within the first year of ownership. They wanted to show that perhaps a doubling of the back cover around the unit contribuited the cracking.

The problem is that the new cover, but it is not curved like the first, also started to crack the plastic cover in exactly the same place. And since I did not know back to double the ceiling, I'm not doing that and it still cracked the new device.

I bought a different type of cover for the DX, a corner, has the loops to hold the device in the ceiling. This type of cover works just fine and has no way of cracking the plastic cover on the Kindle.

At the time we ordered my new Kindle, it was not published, so I had to wait 3 weeks for them and the hard leather was the only choice - the new came to the Kindle on the market for a week or so. Originally I had the smaller Kindle and leather and the cover was nice and straight, by a nice professional looking appearance.

I have an upgrade to the DX and this is my second cover too. I once again the first, because it looks like a thin, wrinkled or warped board with bumps under the leather with leather covered. The second (replacement) arrived and it is not much better. Adapting to the DX is great and it works great, but as a cover for about $ 50.00 to Canada, which was under the leather better the quality, ie how to cover a hardback book and stiff enough not to bend to or crease. I have the KindleDX leather, my KindleDX accompany and highly recommend others to cover the purchase, or a similar one. The Amazon promotional video shows a student with a KindleDX on campus, then sliding it into his pocket, but I doubt it would be front Kindle in good condition for long scratches would be soon developed. For me it was a breeze, a cover for the KindleDX how sure I can put it into my backpack etc know that KindleDX not damaged in any way we will be for sale. The leather cover I of Amazon's robust design and will look as if they wear well over time. For our German customers who KindleDX is pretty expensive, so good coverage is necessary to protect this investment. I have not regretted this additional pay $ 50 for the leather.

The leather for the DX is very well done. I especially like the method used to attach the cover of the Kindle, very easy and safe.

I have the cover to provide protection for the reader and it certainly does not, dass She adds a little to the weight and size of the reader but nothing that I consider to be excessive. Loved this cover ... I tried to ignite my disposal in a waterproof skin contact to the beach!. I tried gently caught and replaced the hinges, making it difficult to solve ... now my frame is a spark in the hairline fracture and I do not use this case for fear that it will ignite under the crack further. Summary: My new Kindle's cover
I thought a lot about the Kindle DX cover buy to protect my considerable investment to Amazon and bought the cover on the strength of their evaluations. I'm not disappointed. The cover fits very well the Kindle: It's compact and looks good (wish there were other colors besides black, however). The felt lining feels good when you cover it back, folded like a paperback. The mounting hardware on the hinge could be a bit difficult to read, but on other people's problems, I have to be careful to open it from the front and have had no problems so far. The magnets are a great way to keep the Kindle in place - they keep from shifting and feel and complement the well-kept stable. Seems to offer good protection for the little joystick thingy that rise is a bit dangerous. All in all a good buy.

Summary: Need improvement in hinge design
I have only one problem with this product that is otherwise almost perfect.
The installation was easy, but I had bent the hinge that connects to ignite and the leather combines folder. It turns out that if I "Spread (ignite" and to the back of the lid, I can bend the hinge that looks like a hook, the upper). Summary: Nice cover

Before I bought a cover from M-Edge, and frankly I was spread a little. Then I saw my friend meet, and how nice it flips so that you at the front cover and turn them behind their backs to cover all perfect for reading while traveling. Moreover, it is very slim and seems very durable, as well to protect the Kindle.
That being said, sorry Amazon, the only thing that really annoys me is the darn Amazon Kindle logo on the front. I would prefer the option to remove it, personalize it, or can something else. I have the leather together with the Kindle DX, which I will post a review later purchased.
From first glance, it looked so great: nice look of leather, solid appearance, beautiful finitions, but there are two major shostoppers I think that I should say you do not have to buy to:

- The clipping system with hooks on one side and magnet on the other side is a very sensitive solution and I really fear for my $ $ break Kindle every time I open the lid

- This coverage is as heavy as the Kindle, making it twice as much weight! That means now my Kindle weights close to 1kg! Therefore, it is now too heavy to have a comfortable read.

I liked this cover at first. It is certainly not soft leather, but keep the magnets work well closed, it is durable and well built and thought it was a good job protecting my nearly 500-dollar investment. But it cracked the front cover of my Kindle dx. I was lucky enough to find a substitute, because of unrelated disorders had received on my Kindle, and DX in a few weeks my second dx is also a crack. The lid is attactive and helps to protect the Kindle. However, the cover itself is easily damaged and can, in turn, damage to your Kindle, like Amazon, there. The leather is turning with two hinges, not that. The top slides up and down, so that the Kindle will be installed, but there is no rotation. The problem I have with this cover is that the hinges are at a different angle, it will fit one of them, and the other (which I repeat in another angle) will bulge and break the potential to ignite. Summary: Slightly dissappointed
I have all the negative reviews about this cover before, and thought that the product was getting a bad reputation by many reviewers. I cover about a week before my Kindle DX and was quite happy with it on his own.

After I received my flare up and now with the cover, the main problem is how amazingly easy it is to open it in the wrong direction. I am fully aware of the problems associated with the design of the cover have, e-mail explaining Amazon will correct operation and consider myself reasonably careful. However, despite all efforts not to focus on opening in the wrong direction, it has already happened three times in the past week that I open it the wrong direction.

I think the main design flaw is not so much with the hinge mechanism, but with the fact that the magnets in the lid is not strong enough to securely attach to the Kindle back cover. I'm not sure whether you stronger magnets in the back, in order to solve them. Right now, I would opt for me, an elastic band on the right side of the Kindle.

I must confess that I am extremely concerned about the long-term affects suitability of this product. However, it was the only coverage that was available for shipment outside the U.S., so I had to take it.

I ordered the to meet with the Amazon Kindle DX. The reader arrived in good order and is a joy to use. It would be a perfect experience for Amazon's own authentic cover would have been. Unfortunately, the cover was a total disappointment, one can complete the shopping experience:

1) The quality was so bad, it was out of shape. It was only partially made of leather. Called it a "leather" is simply misleading.
2) Let us assume that this only happened "to lower quality, at least Amazon should allow free exchange. But, sorry. No, does not return.

I now have the cover for my new Kindle DX and am more than satisfied. Summary: Wonderful E-book with cover
I can not imagine a better e-book. It has wonderful features that are easy to use. It's so easy to order books from Amazon, too. I enjoy reading from KindleDX. I like the leather feels good, which is on my hands and the best thing is that it gives my left hand to do something. This is important because I have read, the bound books for 75 years and have many habits that are related. On a habit: I turn the page when I read the last sentence on the page, so now I think of making my right hand to slow down or click on "previous page." As far as my right hand gets itchy, the pages turn, but should change soon.
